We are seeking a committed and proactive EHS Specialist to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a robust safety culture across the organization. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for inspecting projects, addressing unsafe conditions, and providing expert guidance and support in the realm of EHS. Furthermore, this role will drive the standardization and enhancement of safety protocols, thereby assisting the company in achieving its dedication to employee safety and operational excellence.. 

Are You Looking to: 

  • Implement and uphold the DWT EHS policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risks to personnel. 

  • Support and execute project-specific site safety plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards. 

  • Identify and mitigate unsafe conditions by leveraging feedback through the Voice of the Team (VOT) employee observation process. 

  • Maintain accountability for the EHS 5 Star Key Performance Indicator (KPI) function, ensuring timely resolution of hazards and adherence to safety protocols. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Human Resources, Training, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to further compliance objectives. 

  • Manage cases involving injured workers, supporting the return-to-work process in alignment with established company protocols. 

  • Support EHS compliance training and expand initiatives accordingly. 

  • Help build a culture where safety, accountability, and continuous improvement are shared responsibilities 

Are You Ready to:  

  • Conduct field inspections and document results using the DWT Real-time Operations Assessment Report (ROAR) system. 

  • Support the Corrective Actions resulting from inspection or incident findings. 

  • Support EHS and technical training plans to ensure workgroups meet competency standards. 

  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop task-specific risk assessments. 

  • Lead and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes to prevent recurrence. 

  • Monitor lessons learned, track EHS performance metrics, and support operations with the execution of preventive and corrective actions. 

  • Interface with clients and customers to address EHS improvements and initiatives. 

What You’ll Need:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of work experience preferred. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position in business. 

  • Valid Driver's License. 

  • Proven experience in EHS roles, including field inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigation. 

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards. 

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to lead training sessions and drive EHS initiatives. 

  • Competency in maintaining and analyzing safety performance metrics.
